Jamon de Teruel" Protected Designation of Origin Serrano ham.

This designation is the first created in Spain to protect the traditional production of Serrano ham.
Jamón de Teruel is a ham produced in the traditional way, with selected animals and natural curing thanks to a very dry climate with very cold winters and very hot summers. Maturing times for large cuts are around 20 months.

Serrano ham

Serrano ham is probably the best-known Spanish ham.

This ham is made from white pork, mainly of the Duroc breed, which produces meat with good fat infiltration and great flavor.

However, Serrano ham comes in many different qualities.

Spain-Gourmet especially suggests, and strongly advises, choosing a Serrano ham without additives. Our additive-free Serrano ham is, as its name suggests, free of nitrite, preservatives and antioxidants. The curing process is totally natural and takes place in the mountainous areas of the Sierra Nevada in Granada, Andalusia.

All this artisanal preparation is reflected in the taste of the product.
