5J Cinco Jotas bellota Pata Negra ham, boneless and cut into pieces, is produced by the prestigious Cinco Jotas company, founded in 1879 in Jabugo, Andalusia. This region is considered one of the historic birthplaces of Iberian ham and enjoys an ideal climate for the natural curing of hams.
Iberian pigs roam freely in the dehesa landscape, which consists of natural pastures and holm oak trees. This environment is conducive to extensive farming in keeping with Iberian tradition and contributes directly to the exceptional quality of the meat.
During the montanera, an essential period in Iberian breeding, the pigs feed mainly on acorns that have fallen from the oak trees and on natural resources found in the pastures. Each animal can consume between 8 and 10 kg of acorns per day. This exceptional diet promotes the infiltration of fat into the meat and contributes to the melt-in-the-mouth texture and rich aroma of Iberian bellota ham.
Cinco Jotas is renowned worldwide for the excellence of its Iberian hams. Thanks to expertise passed down for over a century and a rigorous selection process, the company produces hams renowned for their delicacy and rich aroma.
This ham is available in boneless pieces weighing between 500 g and 2 kg, depending on availability. This format makes it easy to cut with a knife or slicer and is an ideal solution for enjoying a large Iberian ham without having to buy a whole ham.
