Made exclusively from vines grown on the clay-limestone soils of the Dominio de Valdepusa (Malpica de Tajo, Toledo), owned by the Marqués de Griñón family since 1292. Harvested by hand, followed by gravity discharge into fermentation tanks. Prolonged maceration up to 4 or 5 weeks and ageing in new and semi-new Allier French oak barrels for 12-15 months in a cellar at constant temperature.
Marqués de Griñón Cabernet Sauvignon was chosen by Wine Spectator, in 2014, as one of the 100 best wines in the world. This is undoubtedly one of Spain's best Cabernet Sauvignon wines.Dark, opaque color. Everything is perfectly blended and harmonious. Reminiscences of roasted malts, beer, cocoa. Coffee liqueur, pencil lead, ripe black fruit. Long and deep on the palate.
