Señorío de Montanera 100% Organic Iberian Bellota Chorizo combines the prestige of Iberian bellota pork with the standards of organic farming. It is a premium, natural, flavorful, and refined charcuterie product, designed for lovers of authentic foods.
This chorizo comes from purebred Iberian pigs raised free-range in the vast oak forests of southwestern Spain. Each animal has at least one hectare to roam freely and feed naturally.
This means, for example, that 100 pigs have at least 100 hectares of unspoiled nature to live and feed in the best possible conditions.
The Extremadura region is considered one of the great birthplaces of Iberian ham. Its vast dehesas offer a unique environment composed of oak trees, pastures, and natural biodiversity.
During the montanera, each pig can consume between 8 and 10 kg of acorns per day, supplemented by roots and wild herbs. This natural diet gives the meat an exceptional flavor and remarkable texture.
In the case of organic chorizo, the natural areas where the animals live are certified organic and guaranteed to be free of pesticides, GMOs, and unauthorized chemical treatments.
