Montesano 50% Iberian Cebo de Campo ham is made from Iberian pigs raised in freedom in the dehesas of Extremadura, in southwestern Spain. This region is renowned for the quality of its Iberian products and for its vast wooded pastures, which provide an ideal environment for raising Iberian pigs.
Iberian pigs roam freely in the pastures and are fed a diet of selected cereals supplemented by the natural resources found in the dehesa. This method of rearing produces tasty, balanced meat while preserving the typical characteristics of Iberian ham.
Montesano continues to uphold traditional expertise in the production of Iberian ham. Thanks to a rigorous selection process and adherence to artisanal production methods, the company offers hams that are renowned for their quality and consistency.
The hams are slowly cured in natural cellars located in Extremadura. This gradual maturation allows the ham to develop a supple texture and a delicate aromatic palette with the slightly fruity notes characteristic of Iberian ham.
Traditional knife cutting produces thin slices that respect the structure of the piece and reveal the full delicacy of the meat. This ham is ideal for an Iberian charcuterie platter or to accompany a gourmet aperitif.
